It was also a good year. Fortunately, but not by luck. Immediately after the outbreak of the pandemic, lockdown and all the covid craziness, we lost a few customers. However, we quickly gained new ones. Because a crisis is a time of verification, which as a team we passed, nomem omen, with a positive result.
A bit against market trends. Our industry is the first to be hit during every crisis. Because when things are unstable, the first thing companies do is to cut promotion budgets, and only then do they cut spending and employment internally. At the September PR Congress in Rzeszów, it could be heard directly from the stage, but also in the corridors, that the industry was strongly affected by the pandemic and is now waiting for a dose of… hope. And this hope may not come so quickly from the market.
We had a lot going for us. As one of 20 companies in Poland, we became founding members of the Association of Public Relations Agencies, a new organisation which is to represent our industry and stimulate its development. And although we are growing out of public relations, we are increasingly turning into a marketing agency. It is no coincidence that this is the name of our podcast – fired up this year as one of the first agency podcasts in the industry in Poland. In it, we share our knowledge, observations and forecast the directions of development. And while we have a lot to say ourselves, we also invite people we value and listen to, because they do good work, to join the conversation.
We all wish, with the obligatory ‘nevertheless’, a better 2021. We have some basis for this. Our team has grown by two people. Medium
