How do you promote your business online? Part 2

The first part of a short guide on how to take your business to the online space is behind us. You already know the best platform to start with and how to find your target audience, and that's a good start. Now it's time for some tips on published content and self-discipline to help you succeed.

Table of contents

Content is King!

Yes, the King is one and these days without it you cannot guarantee your online success. Content, is indisputably one of the key forms of communicating information. Instead of limiting yourself to a simple description of your product or service, use other methods to attract attention. Write in such a way as to interest and make the recipient stay with you for longer. Storytelling also comes to our aid, which, in addition to creating interesting content, also helps us to build a lasting relationship with the customer, all through simple stories. A well-built story around a brand is, above all, a long-term activity. Let your services or products, be the answer to the customer’s problems that they are struggling with or are not yet aware of. A good move would be to keep an eye on the competition. It’s no surprise that many companies use statistics analysis tools to see what text will get more clicks in real time. If you’re in the food and beverage industry and own your own café, create a post that isn’t a simple news item.

Instead of writing: ‘Today we invite you to a chocolate tart!’.

Try to create a need in the customer’s mind that they didn’t yet know about until reading this post:

‘A difficult day at work? We’ve got the answer! Visit us and try a delicious chocolate tart duo with an aromatic coffee. It is said that chocolate improves the mood and stimulates action, and as you know, you don’t argue with scientists! So, see you after work?’

Use emoji to grab your audience’s attention even more! They will make your text much more interesting and eye-catching. Remember, however, that you can overdo everything. It’s not about creating a wall of hieroglyphs on your website. Try to activate your audience and encourage them to interact. Consider the fact that posts with the most comments are the most popular and therefore visible to others.

The road to success

Respect your time and don’t waste it creating content at the last minute. Nowadays, portals provide us with various tools for planning posts or advertising campaigns. Above all, the best way to achieve success is to be systematic. Planning your content in advance affects its quality and will ensure that you are consistent in your publications. A brand that stays in constant contact with its audience and provides them with new information on a regular basis is more credible than one that does this on a holiday. It is worth looking at sites such as Later, Hootsuite, Postfity or Planoly. With these you can plan your posts and stay organised even when you’re on holiday.

Above all, set yourself a clear goal and achieve it. Sounds trivial, right? But for some, this is the hardest point on the road to success. Don’t be discouraged if your posts haven’t yet collected a thousand likes and your audience numbers have been stagnant for a long time. If you want to increase your reach, use the power of advertising, which we wrote about in the first part of the text. However, you must take into account that you will need a specific budget. If you do not want to use this promotional option, nothing is lost. The road to the top will be a little longer, but as much as possible it is possible. Persistence in your assumptions and consistency is the most important thing you can do. Arm yourself with patience, keep in touch with your audience and, above all, work on the content you want to convey. The more worthwhile
