The “Ptaszkowe Love” campaign, carried out by the PRC PR agency for the 3 Stawy Shopping Center in Katowice, was recognized as the best social campaign in Poland! The award was granted by the Polish Council of Shopping Centers. The aim of “Ptaszkowe Love” is to restore the urban bird population in Katowice by building nesting boxes.

The PRCH Retail Awards is an expert and independent competition organized once a year by the Polish Council of Shopping Centers for the retail industry: retail chains, as well as developers, investors, and shopping center managers. The aim of the competition is to reward and promote achievements, best practices, and innovative activities.

Participants in the program had the opportunity to submit their applications in several categories, including CSR activities and strategies. There were nine nominees in the category won by CH 3 Stawy, including IKEA CENTERS POLSKA, the Auchan Shopping Center chain, Atrium Shopping Centers, Gemini Park Bielsko-Biała, and Galeria Wileńska. The event for CH 3 Stawy, managed by Apsys Polska, was organized by the PRC Group PR Agency.

It is a great pleasure for us to work on such important and necessary projects. In this type of undertaking, credibility and the conviction that the goal is to provide real help are particularly important, and the measure of success is the involvement of the region’s residents, which was enormous. I would like to thank the entire team and partners, without whom the project would not have been successful: the Chorzów Zoo, the Silesian Botanical Garden in Radzionków, the Katowice City Hall, and the SPES Association for the Disabled.

says Sebastian Chachołek, President of the Management Board of the PRC Group.

The aim of the successful “Ptaszkowe Love” campaign was to help rebuild the population of small birds that are migrating from cities due to the loss of their natural nesting sites. It was no coincidence that the event was organized on Valentine’s Day in mid-February – this is when nature slowly awakens to life, and birds courting each other are the first sign of this. All activities carried out as part of “Ptaszkowe Love” were an expression of love for animals and the natural environment.

The campaign began with a large collection of food for birds from the Chorzów Zoo – over 200 kg of bird treats were collected in the Katowice market square and at Centrum 3 Stawy. At the end of the campaign, the center’s passageway was transformed into the largest carpentry workshop in Poland, where several thousand residents built over 500 birdhouses. They were taken by the event participants and hung throughout the region: in gardens, parks, and forests.
