The “3mamy z Kato” project wins the PRCH Retail Awards for Best Practices!
We have reason to be proud! The “3mamy z Kato” project, implemented by the PRC Holding Group agency for the 3 Stawy Shopping Center in Katowice, was recognized by the PRCH Retail Awards as a Master of Good Practices. During the campaign, which ran in two editions in 2020 and 2021, we supported the Prof. K. Gibiński University Clinical Center of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, and thanks to our partnership with the City of Katowice, we delivered meals to the most needy residents of Katowice. Together we can do more!
The PRCH Retail Awards is an expert and independent competition program organized once a year by the Polish Council of Shopping Centers for the retail industry: retail chains, as well as developers, investors, and center managers. The aim of the competition is to reward and promote achievements, best practices, and innovative activities.
The 12th edition of the competition proved to be extraordinary not only in terms of the timing of its occurrence, when the world was gripped by the coronavirus pandemic, but also in terms of its winners, whose solutions were presented in the Good Practice Champions Catalog.
The project had two editions, the first – “3mamy z medykami” (3mamy with medics) – was carried out at the turn of May and June 2020. Support was provided to healthcare workers and hospital patients. Over 26 days, we organized four transports with 2,300 food items for medical staff and personal hygiene products and household chemicals for patients in various hospital wards. The most important task was to deliver these items to patients who could not count on outside help.
The “3mamy z Kato” project, implemented at the turn of December and January 2021, responded to the needs of tenants and residents of Katowice. To this end, a coalition of local institutions was formed, with the participation of the Katowice City Hall, which, among other things, helped finance transportation. The campaign provided support to those in need with thousands of meals purchased from restaurant owners who are tenants of the shopping center. Assistance was provided to nine entities under the Social Welfare Center (MOPS): shelters and night shelters for the homeless, and six specialized day centers.
